July 9, 2008
Mississauga, Ontario
Mississauga’s Library Square will be filled with performers, vendors and activities showcasing Chinese martial arts, music, dance, arts, fashion, food and a whole lot more on the weekend of July 26th and 27th, 2008.
Organized by the Mississauga Board of Chinese Professionals & Businesses (CPB), the Mississauga Chinese Arts Festival has entertained over 12,000 attendees since 2004 with visitors coming from all different parts of Ontario. This year, CPB is proud to participate in the City of Mississauga’s “My Mississauga” program, which provides a variety of free activities for the community throughout the summer.
“We are also very excited to receive support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, through their ‘Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program’, towards making this 4th Annual Mississauga Chinese Arts Festival a true success in showcasing our Chinese culture and heritage to the local community,” said Lily Van, Co-Chair of this year’s festival.
“In addition to the Government of Canada, CPB is delighted to receive the continued support from our local network of sponsors, community partners, and volunteers,” stated the festival’s other Co-Chair, Amber Ing. “There will be a lot of activities for the whole family, and we intend to have every participant go home with a memorable experience.”
